2018 — 2027
2018 · Chiang Mai, Thailand
It started with a swipe in Chiang Mai. Zach was traveling through Northern Thailand when he matched with Fah on Tinder. What followed were long conversations, Chang beers, and the particular magic that only Chiang Mai nights can conjure. Neither one of them quite knew it yet, but something had begun.
2018 → 2019 · Budapest, Hungary
Zach left Thailand, moved on to Budapest, and told himself that was that. He was wrong. The city was beautiful, the ruin bars were excellent, and yet — something was missing. It took a little time and a fair amount of honesty to admit he'd left something important behind in Chiang Mai.
2019 · Chiang Mai, Thailand
He booked a flight back to Thailand. When he saw Fah again, it was obvious — he was not going to be an idiot a second time. Some realizations arrive slowly. This one arrived the moment she laughed at something he said in the arrivals hall.
Summer 2019 · Cappadocia, Turkey
They spent the summer of 2019 traveling together — countries, coastlines, cities. By the time they reached Cappadocia, Turkey, floating over fairy chimneys in a hot air balloon at sunrise, Zach had a ring and a question. Fah said yes. It was fast. It was right. Some things you just know.
2020 · Thailand & Lake Tahoe
They were living in Thailand when COVID arrived and shut the world down. Wedding number one — cancelled. They relocated, regrouped, and planned a beautiful ceremony at Lake Tahoe. COVID had other ideas. Wedding number two — also cancelled. The universe, it seemed, had a very particular sense of humor.
November 27, 2020
They tied the knot on November 27, 2020 in a small, intimate ceremony — just them, and the people who mattered most. It was quiet. It was perfect. But they always knew they wanted something more: a traditional Thai wedding, with Zach's and Fah's families together in the same room, celebrating the life they had built.
November 27, 2027 · Lamphun, Thailand
Seven years after they met. Seven years of adventures, of delayed flights and cancelled plans and making the most of whatever the world threw at them. On their seventh anniversary, in the ancient city of Lamphun — home of the Lanna Kingdom — they will finally hold the wedding they always dreamed of. Family. Friends. Thailand.
